If you come from a temperate climate, the first thing that hits you is the heat. Temperature ranges from 24o to 32o C (75-89o F) with an average daily maximum relative humidity of 84.3%. Fain falls all year round but is most abundant from November to January. Rainfall occurs mostly as sudden showers. It is good idea to carry an umbrella whenever you go out. Wear light, comfortable, cotton clothing to beat the heat.
Cost of Living in Singapore

You will need money (cash) immediately on your arrival for transport, meals, phone cards, etc. You should bring along at least S$300 cash upon arrival.
Generally, there is no restriction on the amount of foreign currency, traveler’s cheque and bank draft into Singapore. It is always wiser and safer to bring your sum of money in the form of a bank draft.You may bring along additional funds using bank drafts made out in Singapore dollars and drawn from a Singapore bank. Telegraphic transfers may also be made through another bank to your account

Documents required for a student pass
• Passport
• Official translations of documents in English (if they are in a Native Language)
• A recent passport size photograph against white background
• eForm 16 in print and signed by the applicant
• Copy of the in-principle approval letter
• Recent medical report (not older than 3 months) in the format supplemented
• Departure /arrival card on entry into Singapore
The student must surrender the student pass within one week of completion of course completion.

Studying at Under Graduate (UG) Level
A typical UG course in Singapore generally requires 3-4 years of study full-time. Student can select courses ranging from Arts and Science to specific courses like Business Analytics and more, and choose they want to major and minor in.

Studying at Post Graduate (PG) Level
PG studies in Singapore are offered for both Master’s as well as Doctorate level. A typical Master’s degree is of 1-2 years of duration whereas a doctoral level degree takes somewhere between 3-5 years of full time study.
